It is intended for use by individuals who need to look up their financial institution’s routing number. Users of this service are allowed no more than two lookups per day and are limited to ten lookups per month. Users who need additional lookups or need a more robust tool for accessing the ABA Routing Number database should contact LexisNexis Risk Solutions , the Official Routing Number registrar. New financial institutions, mergers/acquisitions, name changes, and closings, result in an ever-changing list of participants in the US payment system. Using a look-up service other than the ABA Routing Number lookup or a LexisNexis Risk Solutions product could result in retrieving inaccurate or outdated information. The Service permits authorized Users to receive online access to individual ABA Routing Numbers (the unique nine digit number used to identify the paying financial institution in a payment transaction) and related descriptive data (collectively ABA RTN Data”) for the limited purposes set forth in these Terms. These Terms do not alter in any way the terms of any other agreements you may have with ABA for products, services or otherwise. The Official Routing Number Registrar, LexisNexis Risk Solutions, offers additional data products and delivery options for ABA Routing Numbers and other forms of licenses for the use of ABA Routing Numbers and related data beyond the uses permitted by this agreement. The Service, including the ABA RTN data, is protected by copyright laws and international copyright treaties, as well as other intellectual property laws and treaties. The Service is licensed, not sold. Subject to the Terms, ABA hereby grants User a non-exclusive, non-transferable and limited license to access and use the Service. Restrictions on Dissemination and Use 1. The Service is solely and exclusively for Internal Use.” Internal Use means access and use of the Service and ABA RTN Data by a User solely in connection with a payment transaction and to enable the User to furnish the ABA RTN Data necessary to execute a payment transaction. 2. User shall not sell, transfer, assign, publish, distribute, disseminate, or otherwise make available, or reproduce any ABA RTN Data or any derivation, revision, combination or portion of the data to any other person, organization affiliate or subsidiary. User is also prohibited from using the Service or the ABA RTN Data or any portion thereof to act in the capacity of a commercial service bureau to provide payment services on behalf of others. 3. User is not entitled to incorporate or store any ABA RTN Data in its own internal databases or storage systems. A User wishing to take such actions must contact the Official Registrar, LexisNexis Risk Solutions, for details about securing the appropriate license for such use and paying the appropriate fees. Copyrights and Other Proprietary Rights The ABA RTN Data is protected by copyright and other law and constitutes valuable intellectual property of ABA and its licensors. No proprietary rights in or to the Service or ABA RTN Data are being transferred to User. User agrees that misappropriation or misuse of the ABA RTN Data will cause serious and irreparable damage to ABA and to its licensors and that, in such event, money damages will not constitute sufficient compensation to ABA or its licensors; consequently, User agrees that in the event of any misappropriation or misuse, ABA shall have the right to obtain injunctive relief. HOWEVER, BECAUSE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF HUMAN OR MECHANICAL ERROR BY THE REGISTRAR’S SOURCES, ABA OR OTHERS, NEITHER ABA NOR ITS LICENSORS GUARANTEES THE ACCURACY, ADEQUACY OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY DATA IN THE SERVICE AND IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ERRORS OR OMISSIONS OR FOR THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM USE OF SUCH DATA. ABA MAKES NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR USE.
